cafe was not the best. We ordered Breakfast and we could hardly eat any of it. The eggs tasted like "pour out" from a container, foamy texture. The sausage patties were rubbery and tasted like fake meat. The fruit that was served with it came from a can/jar. Very dissapointing experience.
Adorable setting. Great food, great service. My mother and I will definitely be back.
If I were writing this review based on my initial experience here, I'd be giving it a -10. We were seated and literally sat for a good hour, never receiving our food, and being told that we hadn't because they were busy helping people who were eating outside. Needless to say, we got up and walked out. I naturally told everyone I knew who lives in the area how horrible our service.
I give two stars because the service was nice but honestly to me the food my family ate at this
NO HASH BROWNS...what? How can a place with no hash browns be at the top of the list when Googling the area for great breakfast joints? Food was average, toast was good, fruit cup and salsa from a can/jar. It was not a bad meal, but it is not that local joint that serves a rocking breakfast.
At the end of the day I'd have to say that I'd go back again though. It's a nice, quiet place to enjoy a light meal.
We live nearby and try to support small, independent businesses. So, this summer, we decided to give it another try. We definitely had a better experience as far as service is concerned. i also learned that they have excellent gazpacho. Their prices are a little high, so if you go plan on spending more on a sandwich than you normally would.
Go there quite often! Friendly yet very efficient staff. My out of town friends return often also! The menu is surprisingly varied from down home comfort food to upscale dinners and consistently excellent. See you there so soon!
