Whenever I get in a jam, I know I can get a remedy at McKay's. I needed a pipe shortened and threaded, they bring out the old man. Everyone in there knows hardware, unlike Ace, who employs college kids. They are the peanut butter for my jam.

Ken and his family provide a great service and a wonderful experience that you cannot find at your big box home improvement stores yes it might not be the same product selection and yes the prices might be a little different but I would much rather get a quality product and excellent service and know that they're going to stand behind it at the end of the day. Not only that their hands are tied into the community as well as when you need local contractors to do quality work not only is their reputation on the line for the referral they're going to give you they've been able to experience the local business owners and give you a really good sense of where to go for things that you need I would recommend stopping in and meeting Ken and his family and the wonderful employees that are part of McKay's Hardware. I've never had a bad experience here, I buy a soy candle every time I go in for something... Most prices are normal, some a little more because their not a big box store, and just a few are too high..
